The results of your Camtech Health at-home HPV test will be with you within 5 working days upon returning the sample to us.
Instructions on how to take your HPV sample:

Wash your hands with soap and water and dry thoroughly.

Twist the cap on the swab to break the seal and remove the swab from the plastic tube without allowing it to touch any other surface.

Hold the swab stick with one hand and position fingers at the red line.

Insert the tip of the stick into the vagina and stop once your fingers at the red line meet the vaginal opening.

Rotate the swab for 10-30 seconds in the vagina.

Remove the swab, and replace the swab back into the plastic tube, making sure not to touch any other surfaces. Twist the lid of the cap back onto the tube tightly.

Wash, rinse and dry your hands again.

Follow labelling and packing instructions in your test kit.

Return your sample to us in the post for FREE, using the self seal envelope and box that the test came in.

Your HPV test results will be available for you to view in the Camtech Health app within 5 working days after you return your sample to our laboratory.
If you get a positive result from your at-home HPV test then we are here to help support you. Our doctor will contact you and talk you through all of your options and what the best next steps are for you. You also have the choice to take your test results to your own Doctor, where you can discuss your options.
If your HPV result is negative, then you can resume normal testing, which is normally advised to be once every 3 years.
This test for HPV is a vaginal swab test. Once you have ordered and received your test, you can choose a time that suits you and a comfortable place, then insert the cotton bud style swab into the vagina to take your sample, using the instructions in the pack.
Most women experience no pain or discomfort from the at-home HPV test. The swab is small in diameter and should cause no pain during the sample collection. If you experience pain, at any point during the collection process, then please speak to your Doctor.
You should take the HPV test at a point when you are at home, comfortable and have the time to take the test. It is best to wait 48 hours after sex and after using any creams/gels before taking your sample. You should also take the sample when you are not on your period, as this may affect the results. Once you have taken the sample, you should return this to us on the same day, using the prepaid self seal envelope and box.
Do not take the test if you are pregnant or suspect that you are pregnant. It is also not advised to take the sample if you are on your period as this may affect the results.
The Camtech Health at-home HPV test is for any women above the age of 30 and want to take control of their health and understand their own risk from HPV and cervical cancer.
It is advised to take a HPV test every 3-5 years depending on the results that you get. If you are clear of HPV, then you may need to be tested less often. However, if you receive a positive result, then it may be sensible to test more regularly until the HPV has cleared.
Once you have returned your test to us in the mail, you will be notified in the Camtech Health app once we have received your sample at the laboratory. When your results are ready, you will also be notified that the results are in the app for you to view.
If your test and sample get lost in the mail, then please email us via support@camtech-health.com and we will send you a new test kit in the post for FREE, for you to complete and return to us.

The result will appear in the Camtech Health App, under the Results tab, once the Paternity testing is completed. The estimated time to process the samples is 2-3 working days from the receipt of the samples.

In the event you decide to return your kit for any reason within the first 30 days of purchase, prior to using it; you must send your unused kit back to us using the return mail envelope provided with the kit. Refunds will be issued 7 – 10 business days after receiving your unused test kit back at the lab. If the kit has been used, refunds are not available due to the sanitary nature of the materials.
The best method for determining biological relationships is via DNA tests. The results will show a probability of >99.9% if they are biologically related. If the donors are not biologically related, the results will show a probability of 0%.
Every kit has a unique barcode on it. Once the kit is registered, you can use the Camtech Health app to track the submission status of the returned samples.
No, we provide the return packaging and labels that you need to send us your samples.
Although the Home DNA Test Kit technically works the exact same as the Legal Paternity Test and Immigration Paternity Test, it cannot be used in court. This is because the Legal and Immigration Paternity Test requires the testing parties to go into a laboratory and have their samples collected by a certified individual. This is referred to as a “chain of custody.” A third party laboratory technician, after verifying the identification of the testing parties, will take their samples and submit it for genetic testing.
In the unlikely event there is an issue with your sample, we will contact you immediately at the email or phone number associated with your order.
If the alleged fathers are closely related, then testing both alleged fathers and the biological mother is recommended. However, even if only one of the alleged fathers is available we will still be able to determine or exclude paternity.
Samples are discarded following established guidelines.
